Do I need an appointment?
Yes. To ensure that we have enough space for your vehicle we do require appointments for service and diagnosis. Please call the office at 719-471-0777 or use the Contact feature on this site to inquire about availability.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We have partnered with several companies to provide our customers with the most convenient payment options. You can find information about our financing options by clicking on the Financing tab on our website or by calling the office at 719-471-0777.
Can I wait for my vehicle?
Unfortunately, we are unable to service your vehicle while you wait. We are a small, high-volume shop and we will need the vehicle for 24-48 business hours in most cases. We can provide same day maintenance services with an appointment.
How long will you have my vehicle?
Diagnosis turn around is 24-48 business hours. Maintenance services can be performed on the same day with an appointment.
How often should I service my transmission?
Typically, we recommend servicing your transmission every 50,000 miles to protect the integrity of the fluid. If you tow heavy or drive with a heavy load you may consider servicing your transmission every 30,000 miles. For CVT transmissions we recommend services every 30,000 miles as this style of transmission is more sensitive to heat and should be serviced more frequently.
Do you work on all vehicle makes and models?
We work on most vehicle makes and models. Our office staff will let you know when you make your appointment if we are unable to service your vehicle for any reason.
Do you do work on other vehicle components or only transmissions?
We are a transmission specialty shop so most of the work that we do is transmission specific. We can diagnose and repair most driveline components as well as transfer cases, and manual transmission clutches. Please inquire with our office staff about your specific needs.
Can I drop off my vehicle outside of business hours?
It is very important to us that we keep your vehicle safe and secure while it is in our possession. For this reason, we only accept vehicle drop-offs during our business hours.
Where will my vehicle be kept while it is at your shop?
Outside of our business hours your vehicle will be kept inside of our shop or behind our building secured by a locked gate.
What if my vehicle does not move?
If you need to tow your vehicle to our shop, please call our office staff to let them know when the vehicle will be dropped off and ensure that we have space for it. We recommend SWFT Towing at 719-301-0507 for assistance with towing your vehicle.
Do you offer discounts?
We offer Military, Senior and Cash discounts on most repairs and services. We cannot offer discounts on diagnosis or financed repairs and services.
Can I supply my own parts?
We do not install customer supplied parts as we cannot provide a warranty or guarantee our workmanship on parts that we do not obtain from our trusted suppliers.
Do you offer a warranty?
We offer a 12-month 12,000-mile warranty on all repairs, services and bench rebuilds. Most transmission replacements include a 3-year 100,000-mile nationwide warranty and transmission rebuilds come with a 3-year 50,000-mile local warranty.
How long have you been in business?
Transmission Clinic of Colorado Springs has been in business for 27 years.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit/debit cards, cash, and financing options.
Do you charge a diagnosis fee?
Because we know how stressful expensive vehicle repairs can be we do offer diagnosis services at a discounted flat rate of $100.00.
Will you work with my extended warranty?
We do not work with any aftermarket or extended warranty company at this time.
